How we provide for students with Special Educational Needs

• Use of JCSP statements for setting targets to be accomplished

• We use keywords on Posters that are displayed in the classroom. These are very visual aids to help remember the words.

• We print out notes for students who have SEN’s such as Dyslexia, Dyspraxia etc

• We aim to encourage more co-operative learning among students through the use of group work, pair work, etc

• Tests / Homework incorporates low/high order questions

• We encourage students that show a natural potential for Home economics to pursue Higher Level in Junior Cert Home economics and we also encourage these students to continue Home economics into their Leaving Cert.
