JCSP Celebrity Chef
On Monday 14/12/09 a Celebrity Chef, Edward Hayden from Dunbrody Cookery School, Dunbrody Country house hotel and restaurant came to St. Kevin’s Community College as part of the JCSP Programme Initiative “Celebrity Chef”. Edward has publish a cookery book Edward Entertains. Edward demonstrated 4 dishes during a double period including lemon drizzle cake, brown bread, éclairs and mixed fruit crumble. Edward Hayden did a demonstration for JCSP students completing the home economics Junior Cert course along with 3rd year Home economics students. There was a large attendance with the following JCSP students in attendance: Vanessa Dempsey, Jessica Donovan, Michelle Dunne, Anthony Dempsey, Shauna Deegan, Amy Butler, Michelle O’Neill, Katelyn Corcoran, Charlie Lyttle, Kim Mackley, Shauna Humphery. The students reported that they fully enjoyed the experience and will be trying the recipes at home.
